Cagayan Scandal

This happened this year
Miss Cagayan second runner up was involved in a sex scandal.
The boyfriend caught their scenes on his cellphone
It got broken.. He got it fixed..
And in the process.. A technician spread it over the net.. to Singapore, Japan. Thailand.
The end result was her father got a stroke and entered in the ICU, after seeing the video.
The girl committed suicide.

I heard the story in the classroom
The professor made light the situation
By being the funny man that he is..
I could not make myself laugh..
I was the saddest girl in the room
I felt bad for her.
I guess at that moment.. I knew that girl.
She could be anyone.. you, me, a sister, a classmate, a teacher..

My point is.. if you knew the end of this story..
The stroke and the suicide.. would you still watch it?
Every action has consequences.. even yours and mine..

I don’t think I’m better than anyone..
I have nothing against videos
But I do believe what’s meant to be private should be left alone..
It is exploitation.. and if you pin it down to them.. how can they exploit themselves?

What is immorality and scandalous?
Immorality is something you would not want your neighbors to know..
And the latter would be caught on video..
